Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of MakeIt! (the “Service”), a custom 3D printing workshop based in Kigali, Rwanda. By creating an account, submitting a project, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

MakeIt! lets you upload 3D models, choose materials and print settings, request a quote, pay for printing, and arrange delivery. We print files you provide; we do not sell a catalog of stock models. Design help may be available separately when you do not yet have a printable file.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must use a valid email address you control. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the Service or violate these Terms.

3. Projects and files

You retain ownership of the 3D files and content you upload. By uploading a file, you grant us a limited license to store, process, preview, slice, and print it so we can fulfill your project. You confirm that you have the rights needed to use and print the file, and that it does not infringe others’ rights or applicable law.

We may decline projects that appear unsafe, illegal, or impractical to print. Quotes and estimated prices may change after staff review once print time, material use, and feasibility are confirmed.

4. Orders, payment, and delivery

Submitting an order sends your project for review. Payment is due when the project moves to payment pending. We accept payment methods shown at checkout (including MTN Mobile Money where available). Printing typically begins after successful payment.

Delivery details you provide must be accurate. Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary with queue length, material availability, and print complexity. Risk of loss passes on delivery according to the arrangement we confirm with you.

5. Refunds and reprints

If a print fails or does not reasonably match the agreed brief due to our error, contact us and we will work with you on a reprint or other remedy. Refunds for change of mind after printing has started are not guaranteed. Payment processor fees and completed successful prints are generally non-refundable except where required by law or agreed case by case.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload malware or attempt to disrupt the platform
• Request prints of weapons, illegal items, or content that violates law
• Harass staff or other users
• Misrepresent your identity or payment details

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. 3D printing involves physical manufacturing; dimensional tolerances, surface finish, and strength depend on the model, material, and settings you choose. We do not warrant that a print will be fit for a particular purpose unless we expressly agree in writing.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MakeIt! is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
