This Privacy Policy explains how MakeIt! (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our website and 3D printing services in Kigali, Rwanda.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

• Account details — name, email address, and login data (including when you sign in with Google)
• Project data — 3D files, briefs, messages, print settings, and related project history
• Order & delivery details — address, phone number, and special instructions
• Payment information — payment status and references needed to process Mobile Money or other supported methods (we do not store full payment credentials)
• Design requests — contact details and descriptions you submit via our design help form, including optional attachments
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and usage events from cookies or similar technologies

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Review, quote, print, and deliver your projects
• Communicate about orders, status updates, and support
• Process payments and prevent fraud or abuse
• Improve the Service and understand how the site is used
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember anonymous draft projects. We may also use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager) to understand traffic and improve the site. Chat support may set cookies when you open live chat. Cloudflare Turnstile may run on sign-up and similar forms to reduce bot abuse.

4. Sharing with service providers

We share information only as needed to operate the Service, including with:

• Google — authentication (Sign in with Google) and, when enabled, analytics
• MTN Mobile Money — payment processing
• Cloud hosting and storage providers — to run the website and store project files
• Cloudflare — bot protection on protected forms
• Tawk.to — optional live chat and help center
• Email delivery providers — transactional messages about your account or projects

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MakeIt!, our users, or others.

5. Retention

We keep account, project, and order records for as long as needed to provide the Service, handle disputes, and meet legal or accounting requirements. Draft projects without an owner may be deleted after a period of inactivity. You may ask us to delete your account; some records may remain where we must retain them.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong password and protect your login.

7. Your choices

You may:

• Update account details by signing in
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you
• Stop using optional chat widgets
• Control cookies through your browser settings (note that essential cookies are required for core features)

8. Children

The Service is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us so we can delete it.

9. International transfers

Some providers process data outside Rwanda. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries where those providers operate.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Significant changes may also be communicated through the site or email.
